Leigh, who was introduced to her by actress Norma Shearer Leigh signed a contract with MGM to begin her career as a film actor in the latter half of the 40s. Leigh was a star in a variety of popular films during the following decade, such as Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (from the year 1960) as well as Living It Up (1954), starring Martin Lewis.
